I photoed the moon last night. 70mm didn't get it very large, though... and I won't get it for a few more weeks (I'm on film).

This is good. :)

Holy crap! Best moon shot I've seen on deviantart thus far, absolutely fantastic!

You managed to capture a lot of detail that most photographers miss out on when they take pictures of the moon, be it from camera shake, or an exposure that's too long, or the use of digital zoom, or whatever. Very good, I am very much impressed.

I absolutely love the moon. I love space in general. There are few simple joys, to me, greater than finding somewhere that is absolutely dark, absolutely silent, absolutely out of the way, and staring up at the night sky to see thousands upon thousands of things that you could never see anywhere that light can reach.

It's truly magnificient.

My father was a science major at colby college back in the 70's, and when I was younger I used to take advantage of that fact on rides home from my grandparent's house. I used to look up at the night sky and ask him all sorts of questions, and he'd answer them, in the kind of simplistic yet meaningful manner that makes me now think he would have been an excellent teacher.

I suppose that's part of the reason I'm a physics major now. w00t. Hooray for astrophysics and cosmology! ::has geeky moment::

Woop, went on a bit of a personal fling there. Sorry. :D

Oh, before I forget... What are the rest of the stats for this image? Does your camera have any kind of multiplier? What shutter speed did you use? I'm a photo geek, I MUST KNOW ALL THE DETAILS! :mwahaha:

hehehe :D
